Exciting moments at the Red Bull District Ride in Nuremberg

In a breathtaking final on a progressive 1km long course in Nurembergs old town, the world´s best freestyle mountainbikers showcased the potential of their sport to an audience of 65.000 spectators. The track consisted of 6 different districts which each featured specific elements of freeride mountainbiking and challenged riders to pull everything out of their bag of tricks. The first five districts were judged separately on overall impression by a team of 2 judges with one team looking out for the overall composition and execution of the run. The final jump out of the mayors building onto the Hauptmarkt was judged by all judges all together. EIM´s electronic scoring system enabled the Head Judge Paul Rak to keep track of all scores (15 in total) which were put in during the course of a single run and helped the judge team to stick to a challenging time frame of entering scores and following the competition. Results were transmitted live on the internet through XML and RSS feeds, delivered in real-time to sports and webcast commentators and transformed into live graphics feeds for the international tv feed and the big screen production.
